Title wrong. Boston does go to sleep. The majority of stores in downtown are closed by 9pm. Bars are closed by 2am.
The T used to shut down at midnight. Now it goes until 3am, but only on the weekends. Doesn't start back up until 5am.

There are a few 24 hour places in Boston. I know 3 off the top of my head: South Street Diner, Walgreen's in Downtown, Shaw's in Back Bay.
